Packing is a specification, not a wrapping
Export packing for machinery parts is a defined way of protecting a defined item for a defined journey. Hydraulic assemblies travel with port caps and a corrosion inhibitor, because a bare port on a pump that crosses an ocean in humid air becomes a repair before it becomes a spare. Cylinders are braced against their own rod movement. Undercarriage parts are separated so that machined faces do not bear on each other.
Electrical components, control units and sensors are a separate case entirely. They are light, high in value, and intolerant of moisture, so they travel with desiccant and in sealed packaging rather than in a shared crate. When a consignment mixes heavy and light items, splitting the packing list by packing type rather than by part category is usually what keeps the paperwork honest.
Loading decisions that change the freight bill
A twenty-foot container is not a volume challenge for most excavator parts; it is a weight and shape challenge. Track groups, buckets and counterweights are dense and awkward, and the way they are arranged decides whether the load closes on the first attempt or gets reworked at the port.
Two practical consequences follow. Heavy items should be loaded first and positioned to keep the center of gravity low and central. Light, boxed items fill the remaining voids, which is why a well-built order of mixed parts usually ships cheaper per unit than a light order of the same value: the heavy cargo has already paid for the container.
The other consequence is documentation. A packing list that names each item, its quantity, its packing type and its weight lets a buyer clear customs and reconcile the delivery without re-opening sealed crates on the dock.
Terms, and who carries which cost
Incoterms define where a seller's responsibility ends and a buyer's begins. Free-on-board at a Chinese port means the buyer arranges and pays the ocean freight and insurance from that point. Delivered arrangements move that boundary further along the journey, and the price reflects it.
For a repeat buyer the choice is mostly about control and cash flow rather than about which is cheaper, because the underlying costs are the same and a supplier who ships regularly will have better rates than a buyer who does not. For a first order the more useful rule is to know exactly what has been included, so that a delivered price is being compared against a delivered price and not against an ex-works one.
How we handle it
Guangzhou Shenyue Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. has supplied excavator parts from Guangzhou since 2007 and consolidates multi-item and multi-brand orders into a single shipment where the weights and shapes allow it. Sealed new stock, documented grades and a packing list that matches the load are the standard, not an upgrade.
We are an independent supplier, formally authorized for five brands — Garrett, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, TONGMYUNG, NIKURA and Marusan — and supplying other major brands through original channels or as OEM-quality and aftermarket lines. Every line on a quotation states which it is.
Frequently asked
Can you consolidate orders from several suppliers?
We consolidate within our own order, across brands and part types, which is where most of the saving is. Consolidating goods that other suppliers have already packed and delivered to us is possible in principle but usually costs more than it saves, because the packing standards and paperwork have to be reconciled by hand.
How should heavy undercarriage parts be ordered to keep freight down?
Group them. A track group shipped alone pays for a container almost by itself, and light parts added to the same shipment ride along at very little extra cost. Splitting heavy parts across several small shipments is the most common way buyers overspend on freight without noticing.
What documentation is normally supplied?
A commercial invoice, a packing list naming contents and weights, and the shipping documents for the agreed terms. Where a buyer needs particular certificates for import clearance, the requirement should be raised at quotation stage rather than after the goods are packed.
Send the machine model, serial number, the part numbers you have and the quantity. That is all we need to quote and confirm fitment before payment.
